About Rhoda
I grew up in northwestern Minnesota – quite near North Dakota and Canada; went to a one room country school house; and for high school, I rode the bus an hour to school and back home. That was the worst part of the day.
I went to Chicago for nurses training. After graduating from Swedish Covenant Hospital there I worked in the Operating Room. Soon after I met Al who, by the way, had a new beige convertible
.
After our marriage we moved into our an apartment. Sue came and then we had a house built. Then we had Carol.
They grew up, got married, and best of all, gave us six wonderful grandchildren – Erin, Ellyn, Josiah, Shannon, Daniel, and Kal. They are growing to be wonderful ladies and gentlemen, well maybe if we can get Kal to push the chair in for the ladies and open the proper door for the girls
.
Two years ago, Al and I moved out of our only house (which we had for over 40 years) and had a new house built in Sycamore. Everyone loves it. My granddaughters say it looks like it should be in a magazine, which tells me our hard work of planing and planing on this house has paid off. Our grandchildren love to spend the night, too, and we love having them.
